This week we celebrate Women’s History Month, including the amazing accomplishments and firsts from many women in sports history.


As part of Women’s History Month, we celebrate the women of Baseball, from the AAGPBL, Negro Leagues, MLB, Little League, Authors and Media


Today we highlight a few game changers!

Mo’ne Davis after she donated her 2014 LLWS Jersey to the Baseball Hall of Fame – Pictured with Steve Bandura of Anderson Monarchs, HOF President Jeff Idelson and Mamie “Peanut” Johnson



A then 13-year-old Mo'ne Davis was the first little leaguer to grace the national cover of Sports Illustrated.


Ila Borders – 1st female to get a scholarship to play men’s college baseball, 1st to get a win in a men’s college game and pitch complete game. 1st female to get a win in men’s pro ball, playing in minor leagues for 4 years



Bernice Gera, 1st female umpire in pro baseball. She won the right to be an umpire through the courts and was hired by the New York-Penn League, umpiring her first game in 1972
