Celebrating the Women of the Diamond - Racine Belles - All American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) who played in 1943-1950.
The Racine Belles were 2x champions in the league, including the debut season of 1943 and again in 1946.
Notable players included Sophie Kurys, Mary Nesbitt, Joanne Winter, Anna Mae Hutchison, and Dorothy Maguire.
After moving, the team was renamed the Battle Creek Belles and played from 1951 to 1952. For their final season, they moved to Muskegon, Michigan and played as the Muskegon Belles.
