Celebrating the Women of the Diamond - Kalamazoo Lassies - All American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) who played in 1950-1954.
The Kalamazoo Lassies played from 1950-1954 at Lindstrom Field and Catholic Athletic Association Field, now the Soisson-Rapacz field.
The Muskegon Lassies moved to Kalamazoo in the middle of the 1950 season. During the '51 season, the Lassies went 33-75-2. In '52 they finished fifth of six teams with a 49–60 record, before improving to 59-50-2 and reaching the playoffs the following year.
During the '54 season, they went 48-49-1 record and finished fourth of five teams, but made the playoffs. They would advance to defeat Fort Wayne in the final AAGPBL season for the title.
