The AAGPBL’s Doris Sams of the Muskegon Lassies wins 1949 Player of the Year, becoming the 1st player to win 2 awards. She was 15-10 with 1.58 ERA and hitting .279 with 35 runs and 35 RBI's.

Audrey Wagner of the Kenosha Comets wins the AAGPBL’s 1948 Player of the Year award, hitting .312 with 56 RBI’s, 70 runs and 53 stolen bases.

Doris Sams was the 1947 Player of the Year for the Muskegon Lassies, she went 11-4 with a 0.98 ERA and also hit .280 

’46 saw Sophie Kurys of the Racine Belles win Player of the Year, hitting .286, with 117 runs and an astounding 201 stolen bases, she would steal 1,114 bases in her career

The AAGPBL did not have a player of the year until their 3rd year when Connie Wisniewski won in ’45 for the Grand Rapids Chicks. She was 32-11 with a 0.81 era, she would win 107 games in career
