Our next AAGPBL player is Doris Sams, who was one of the few women to pitch a perfect game during her AAGPBL career, then five years later led the league in Home Runs.
Following her successful career, Sams would become a computer operator for the Knoxville Utility Board. Among her other exploits, Sams would win a regional marbles tournament and became the Knoxville badminton champion.
