Part 6 - Josh Gibson - The Legend

#Spotlight – This week we welcome our newest partner - The Josh Gibson Foundation!

Despite struggling with health issues, Josh Gibson would lead the Homestead Grays to another Negro National League crown in 1945, batting .323.

In 1946, Gibson would go on a power tear:

  • 440-foot home run at Yankee Stadium
  • 457-foot blow in Pittsburgh
  • 500-foot shot at Sportsman’s Park in St. Louis
  • a ball that cleared the roof at Shibe Park in Philadelphia.
